Obituary
Brian Grimstad
Brian Grimstad, 19, Bellview, Neb., formerly of Wahpeton, died July 28 at Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. He was killed in a truck accident. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Vertin's Wahpeton Chapel, with Rev. Norman Winkelman officiating.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday, continuing through the evening and Friday until the time of services.
He was born April 6, 1961 at Breckenridge to Manfred and Judy (Matheson) Grimstad. At a young age he moved with his family to Sedelia, Mo., and the family lived there a short while and then moved to Guam and lived there for two years. The family lived two years in Omaha, Neb. After there they moved to Wahpeton where Brian attended kindergarten. The family also lived at Richard-Gavar Air Force Base, Neb. Following that the family was in Okinawa for four years. The family has since lived in Bellview.
He attended high school in Bellview.
He has been working with the Thomas Carnival for the past two months. Survivors include his parents, two brothers and a sister, Mark and Terry, Lynn, all at home; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Matheson, Wahpeton and Mr. and Mrs. Selvin Grimstad, Fergus Falls.
Casket bearers will be Barry and Ben Leitch, Daniel and Darren Severson, and Mark and Terry Grimstad.
Honorary casket bearers are Brad and Braden Leitch.
