Dorothy Guess
Services for Mrs. Larry (Dorothy) Guess, 87, of Wahpeton are tentatively set for Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Wahpeton, with Rev. Stanley K. Mueller officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton.
Mrs. Guess died Sunday at the Wahpeton Rehabilitation Center.
Dorothy Guess was born Nov. 24, 1889 at Melbourne, Australia, and came to Los Angeles, Calif., when she was a young woman.
She married Lawrence Guess May 30, 1920 in Wisconsin. Not too long afterward the couple came to Wahpeton where he was district manager of the Otter Tail Power Co. He died in 1952.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Wahpeton Eastern Star and served as recording secretary of the Royal Neighbors for many years.
Survivors are a son, John L. of Wilwaukie, Ore.; and two grandsons.
