Obituary
Herman C. Gallmeyer, 71, Wyndmere Dies; Rites Friday
Herman C. Gallmeyer 71, longtime Wyndmere area resident died Monday.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from Vertin’s-Wahpeton Chapel. Rev. F. C. Schmidt, officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
There will be visitation this evening (Thursday) and Friday until time of services at the chapel
Herman William C. Gallmeyer was born Nov. 11, 1891 at Groen Ia., the son of Conrad and Augusta Gallmeyer. He came with his parents to Wyndmere in 1906 where they were engaged in farming.
They later farmed near Barney and in 1927 returned to Wyndmere.
Mr. Gallmeyer was married Nov 5, 1912 to Anna Wolters at Mooreton. They resided at Wyndmere when Mr. Gallmeyer was employed as a bulk oil truck driver.
In addition to his wife, he was survived by a son Alvin, Detroit, Mich., a daughter, Mrs. Alfred (Vera) Meyer, Wahpeton; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. His stepmother, Mrs. Conrad (Mary) Gallmeyer, four sisters, Mrs. Earl (Ida) Sullivan, Great Falls, Mont., Mrs. Mark (Lola) Palmer; Mrs. Jack (Amanda) Janssen Barney, and Mrs. W. A. (Clara) Mueller, Rapid City, C. D. also survive.
Pallbearers will be George Brosowske, Herman Radig. Rudolph Kressin Charles Denow, Harry Luebke and Charles Brosowske.
Mrs. Alfred Koppelman will be organist. Philip Koppelman will be vocalist.
