Obituary
Mrs. Maude Haas Dies in Fargo
Mrs. Maude Haas, 65, sister of the late R. V. McMichael of Wahpeton, died from a heart ailment at a Fargo hospital Wednesday.
Services will be held in Fargo and the body will be bought to Wahpeton Wednesday for burial.
Born in Seaforth, Ontario, Canada., Oct. 23, 1878, she came to the United States and North Dakota in 1863. Her family resided in Sheldon N.D., until 1884 when they moved to Wahpeton.
In 1903, she married John Haas. She is a member of the Episcopal church. Besides Miss McMichael she leaves a son, John V. Haas, assistant cashier of the Northern Trust Company in Chicago, who was commissioned a lieutenant junior grade, in the navy Wednesday at Great Lakes and a daughter Mrs. Maitland D. Wyard of Minneapolis, now living at Winston-Salem, N.C where her husband is a major in the army and a brother A. E. McMichael of Wyndmere, N.D. Two brothers and her parents preceded her in death. Mrs. Haas also leaves four grandchildren. Mr. Haas died Feb. 26, 1918.
