Obituary
Elmer Hanson Rites Saturday in Breckenridge
Funeral services for Elmer Hanson, 76, who died Wednesday at St. Francis hospital will be held Saturday at two o’clock from the Jos. Vertin Chapel in Breckenridge and interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton. Rev. P.A. Gisvold will officiate.
Born in Wisconsin, Mr. Hanson spent his early youth there and was married to Plummie Clark, May 16, 1897. They farmed in Wisconsin 12 years then moved to Wolverton and settled in Deerborn township where they farmed until 1938 when they moved to Breckenridge. Mr. Hanson was active in community affairs serving on township and school boards. He attended the Lutheran church in Breckenridge and was baptized in the Evangelical Lutheran church.
He is survived by his wife and four sons, Rawleigh, of Madison, Wis.; Clark of Breckenridge, Lloyd of Beresford, S. D.
