Mrs. G. L. Harris Dies Friday in Bradenton Home

Former Wahpeton Woman’s Ashes Will Be Interred Here

Mrs. G. L. Harris, age 83, for many years a Wahpeton resident and more recently residing at Bradenton, Fla., died Friday at her home there after a long illness. With her at the time of her passing was her daughter, Mrs. Warren Hatch who has made her home with her mother several years.

According to word received in Wahpeton funeral services were to be held in Bradenton the first of the week and the ashes will be brought to Wahpeton later for interment beside her husband and son in the family lot in Fairview Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Harris made their home in Wahpeton for some 25 years while Mr. Harris was local agent for the Great Northern Railway company. He retired in 1923 and he and his wife spent their winters in Florida thereafter until his death. Mrs. Harris continuing to make the trip to the south until a few years ago when she established her permanent residence there.

In addition to her daughter she is survived by two grandsons who are in service and two granddaughters, one of whom is employed in Seattle and the other married and living in Texas.
