Obituary

Clyde Hausken Funeral Monday

Funeral services were held Monday (today) in the Trinity Episcopal Church in Wahpeton for Clyde O. Hausken, 72, of Wahpeton who died Friday morning at his home. The Rev. Richard Miller officiated and Mrs. Horace Lahren was the organist. Interment will be the Garden of the Christus, Fairview Memorial Gardens, in the spring.

Pallbearers were Harold Diederich, Herman Becker, Estes Simmer, Gordon Paape, Stanley Beach and Marvin Weiss.

Mr. Hausken, a lifelong resident of Wahpeton, was born Oct. 4, 1897, the son of Robert and Anna (Myhra) Hausken. He served in England in World War I. He married Lois McMichael Jan. 25, 1934, at Fargo. He worked in the postal service from 1929 to 1959. He was an ardent billiard fan and at one time entered a national tournament and won in the first round. He was a member of the Wahpeton Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Miller-Hafner-Ross American Legion Post.

Mr. Hausken is survived by his wife; one daughter, Sally of Excelsior, Minn., one brother and one sister, Arthur and Sheila Hausken, both of Wahpeton.

He was preceded in death by a son, Robert, in January of this year, and one brother, Earl, in 1960.
