Obituary
Milo O. Helgeson
Services for Milo O. Helgeson, 66, Wahpeton, have been set for 11 p.m. Friday at Bethel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, with Rev. Bob Olson officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday afternoon, continue through the evening at Vertin's Funeral Home Chapel, and one hour prior to the services on Friday at the church.
Milo Helgeson was born Oct. 1, 1912 at Walcott to Alfred and Minnie (Egge) Helgeson. He was raised in West End Township, attending local schools and married Borghild Odden, Dec. 18, 1936. He lived in Wyndmere until 1948 and moved to Wahpeton where he worked as a clerk in the yard office for Great Northern Railroad until his retirement in 1975.
He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Great Northern Railway Veteran's Association and treasurer for the Wahpeton chapter of Alcoholic Anonymous Association.
Milo Helgeson is survived by his wife, two sons, Roland, Great Bend, Duane, Fargo; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Louis (Lorraine) Oliver, Dilworth, Mrs. Alvert (Marion) Bozovsky, Hankinson; and one brother, Raymond, Embden.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
