Mrs. Helgeson Called By Death
Was Nurse When Jesse James Robbed Bank
Mrs. Anna Helgeson died at her home, 220 South 7th Street, Breckenridge Tuesday, Aug. 27th.
Anan Thuney was born June 27, 1855 in Norway. She came to this country as a young girl. When she was 18 years of age she was nursing in the Northfield, Minn., hospital at the time Jesse James robbed the bank. Following her marriage at Moorhead, she made her home at Moorhead, Walcott and Kindred, before coming to Breckenridge.
Known as Grandma Johnson, she was loved by everyone. She was a member of the Norwegian Lutheran church at Walcott.
She leaves to mourn her death her three children Mrs. Grinaker of Moorhead, Mrs. Torgenrud and Henry Johnson of Breckenridge; also nine step-children; a half-brother, Eric Thuney, Chicago; one brother, Jake Thuney of Breckenridge; also four half sisters, Mrs. J. H. Halvorson, Everdall, Minn., Mrs. T. Torgeson, Moorhead, Mrs. Eric Sandeen, Wahpeton and Mrs. John Steen, Glyndon, Minn.
Funeral services were conducted for the Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 30 at 2 p. m. Rev. Gisvold of Wahpeton officiated and interment was in the Fairview cemetery of Wahpeton.

Old Fairview is located on the southern half of the cemetery grounds.
