Obituary

Richland County Farmer, on Thursday, December 16th, 1920 (transcribed as written) ~ MRS. DIVET'S SISTER DEAD ~

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Norwegian Lutheran church for Mrs. Alice Hiler, 41, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.O. Hanson, South First Street, and sister of Mrs. Walter L. Divet. Rev. Mr. Dahl, pastor of the church, will conduct the services.

Mrs. Hiler died Saturday at her home in Brady, Mont., after several months' illness. The body was brought to Wahpeton last evening. Mrs. Josefson, a sister, of Brady, arrived on the same train.

Although Mrs. Hiler has lived in Montana for the last 10 years, she has many friends in Richland County who will regret to learn of her death. Mrs. Hiler was born in Faribault, Minn., but came to this county with her parents in 1882 and with them she lived on a farm near Dwight. The Hansons came to Wahpeton 3 years ago.

Mrs. Hiler leaves 3 children- Arnold, 14, Mabel, 12, and Woodrow, 7. Another sister, Miss Clara Hanson is in government services in Washington, D.C.

The body of Mrs. Alice Hiler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.O. Hanson of this city arrived here last Thursday from Brady, Montana, where she passed away at the home of her sister, Mrs. V.J. Josephson. Mrs. Hiler was 41 years ago and leaves three children. The funeral service was held from the Wahpeton Norwegian Lutheran church Friday afternoon.
