Funeral for Mrs. Ed Hill Is Saturday
Mother of Seven Stricken Suddenly and Dies Tuesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Ed. Hill, who died at St. Ansgar hospital in Moorhead Tuesday morning, will be held Saturday afternoon at two o’clock from the Wahpeton Methodist church. Rev. C. H. Meier will preach the funeral sermon and Vertin Funeral chapel in Wahpeton are in charge of arrangements.
The Hill family formerly resided here and later moved to a farm east of Breckenridge where they had made their home for a number of years, moving this summer to Dilworth, Minn., where Mr. Hill is chief of police.
Emma Hess was born April 28, 1910 at Sedwirk, Alberta and attended school thee, completing the eighth grade in the Sedwick schools. She came to the United States in 1922 and was married to Edward Hill Feb 4, 1928 at Wheaton, Minn.
She is survived by her husband and four sons, James, George, Lloyd and John and three daughters, Edna, Anna and Betty Jane, the baby being five months of age. Her brother, Mrs. Anna Hess resides at Wheaton, her brother, Edward at Billings, Mont. She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Wm. Oakes, of Pentieton, B. C. hospital where she died. Her death Springs, Mo., and Mrs. Roy Letteer, of Wheaton.
Stricken suddenly at her home, she was rushed to St. Ansgar hospital where she died. Her death was unexpected and a shock to her husband and family.
