James Hill-1898
James J. Hill died Friday night in Breckenridge of heart failure at the age of 37. He was coming home from Breckenridge and when near the Breckenridge house was taken with a fainting spell. A bystander helped him into the house, and gave him a chair. He sat down and almost immediately fell over dead. The coroner was called and pronounced the cause of death heart failure.
Mr. Hill was one of the early settlers of this part of the country and has been living with Lincoln & Oslund the past fourteen years. He was a member of the A.O.U.W. and carried $2,000 life insurance in that society.
The funeral took place in the M. E. church Monday under the auspices of the A.O.U.W. and the remains buried in the new cemetery.
