Services Held Today For Lloyd Hingst 49, City
Funeral services for Lloyd G. Hingst 49, Wahpeton were held this afternoon (Monday) at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, with Rev. Edward J. Rutter officiating.
Mr. Hingst died Friday at a local hospital.
He was born Sept 20, 1015, at Tyler, N. D. where his parents farmed. He was married to Irene Bohn, June 12, 1935. Following their marriage, they farmed near Geat Bend for six years before moving into town. In 1952, they came to Breckenridge where they lived until moving to Hopkins in 1954. Since 1955, they made their home in Wahpeton, where he was employed as a cement finisher.
He was formerly employed with the Hansen Construction Co., of Breckenridge and recently worked for Meide and Son Construction Co., of Wahpeton.
He was baptized and confirmed in the Great Bend Lutheran Church and won a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wahpeton.
Besides his wife, Irene, he leaves three sons, Lloyd of Maple Plain, Minn., Roger and Lee Allen of Wahpeton; one daughter, Mrs. Richard Tehle of St. Paul, his mother, Mrs. Amanda Hingst of Breckenridge; six grandchildren: one brother, Edward of Wahpeton; two sisters, Mrs. Herb (Gertrude) Meyer of Breckenridge, and Mrs. Irene Ward of Chicago and a half sister, Mrs. Selma Hickman of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Hingst.
Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home Breckenridge, was in charge of arrangements.
