Obituary
Berner Holman passed away at 9:40 a.m., August 26, 1945 at the Veterans Hospital at Fargo, N.D.
He was born at Mayville, N. Dak. Feb. 11, 1897, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bori Holman and at the time of his death he was 48 years and 6 months old.
He attended Mayville Grade School later the Hanson Tractor School of Fargo, N. Dak., and also the Moler Barber College of Fargo, N. Dak.
In February 1926, he was united in marriage to Miss Bessie Olson of Mooreton, N. Dak., and to this union one daughter was born, Mrs. Thomas C. McNutt, former Miss Daliss Arleene Holman.
They moved to Doran on May 15, 1927, where he has been a barber and restaurant owner until Nov. 24, 1944, when he returned to Hines Hospital in Chicago for medical treatment. On June 11, 1945, he was transferred to the Fargo Veterans Hospital and remained there until the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Holman and daughter, Mrs. Thomas C. McNutt born of Doran, Minnesota, his mother, Mrs. Carrie Holman and five brothers and two sisters, Mr. Carl Holman, Hatton, N. Dak., Mr. Albert Holman, Hatton, N.Dak., Mr. Axel Holman, Hatton, N. Dak., Mr. Helmer Holman, Grand Forks, N. Dak., Ella (Mrs. Jacob Vermadahl) Hatton, N.Dak., and Tillie (Mrs. Laurence Nelson, Fargo, N. Dak.
His father, Mr. Bori Holman and one sister preceded him in death.
