Obituary
Mrs. H. F. Holthusen Dies Thursday In Local Hospital
Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Holthusen, 65, longtime Wahpeton resident who died early Thursday at St. Francis hospital will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from Immanuel Lutheran church in this city. Rev. Henry Fry will officiate at the rites and interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Mary Louise, Daughter of the late Carl and Anna Sedler, was born in Brandenburg township, Sept. 21, 1886. She attended local schools and was married to Henry at Great Bend. They farmed for eight years in Summit township and in 1914 came to Wahpeton to make their home. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran church and active in church work. She and her husband celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary at a gathering held in 1946.
Mrs. Holthusen had been in poor health the past seven months and had been taken to St. Francis hospital for days before she passed away.
She is survived by her husband, one brother, Robert Sedler, of Hankinson and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Buck, of Schawauon, Sask., and Mrs. Robert H. Bladow, of Hankinson. Her parents, a brother and sister preceded her in death.
