Edward Homme Dies Saturday
Funeral Services To Be Held Tuesday at Congregational church by Rev. LaGrone
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon for Edward Homme who has made his home in Wahpeton the past eighteen years and who died Saturday at 1:30 p.m. following a prolonged illness. Rev. LaGrone will conduct the services which will be held at the home at two o’clock and at the Congregational church at 2:30 p.m.
Edward Homme was born March 2, 1869 in Fillmore County, Iowa and came to Richland county as a boy with his father, Gilbert Homme, who homesteaded in the Abercrombie vicinity.
He was married November 6, 1905, to Lillian Cherry, at Breckenridge. Eighteen years ago he brought his family to Wahpeton and have since resided here where he has been employed by the Great Northern Railway.
Surviving are his widow, one daughter Myrtle and four sons, Albert, Edwin of Barnesville, Minn., and Donald and Franklin. Also surviving are five sisters, Mrs. George Edwards of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Frank Winkle, Algona, Iowa; Mrs. Mary Phillips, Moorhead; Miss Cora Homme, Moorhead and Christine McKay, Aitkin, Minn.
Pallbearers will be Don Jones, Breckenridge, Ted Lamusa, Charles Mohs, Jacob Kiebke, Wesley Oliver and Nick Krump.
