Obituary
FUNERAL OF MRS. J. J. HULL HELD SATURDAY Came to Wahpeton in 1892 and Resided Here Until 1924; Both Sons Here
Funeral services were held at the Christian Science hall in Wahpeton Saturday afternoon for Mrs. J. J. Hull, pioneer resident of Wahpeton, who died in Los Angeles last Monday. Services were conducted by Miss Bertha Baurer.
A vocal solo was sung by Mrs. Josie Oliver Paul, accompanied by Mrs. Torguson at the piano. Mrs. Hull was aged 76. She was born in Ontario, Canada, and went with her parents to Grandin, N. D., while a
young girl. In 1882 she was married at Grandin to J. J. Huss and the young couple went to Michigan, where they lived for a short time. From Michigan they came to Fargo, where Allen was born. Allen, a senior in Wahpeton High School, was drowned in East Battle Lake 26 years ago. Harold and Bert were born at Mapleton, N. D., where the family resided until 1892 or 1893, when they moved to Wahpeton. Two other children, boy and girl twins, died in infancy. Burial was in Fairview cemetery where lies the body of Mr. Hull, who died in Wahpeton in January, 1924. Out-of town persons attending the funeral were; Atty. Harold J. Hull, of Wallace, Idaho, Mrs. Hull’s son; Mrs. Bert J. Hull, of Los Angeles, daughter-in-law of Mrs. Hull; Mr. and Mrs. Walter L. Stockwell and Ralph Miller, of Fargo; Mr. and Mrs. Hart and Miss Reed, of Pipestone, Minn., (Mrs. Hart and Miss Reed, sisters of Mrs. Hull). Her son, Bert, of Los Angeles, was unable to come because of illness.
