Funeral Friday for Wm. Hunter
Well Known Man Dies in Fergus Falls
Funeral services for William Hunter, aged 66, who died Wednesday evening in Fergus Falls will be held at three o’clock from Wahpeton Congregational church Friday afternoon and interment will be made in Fairview cemetery, where Masonic rites will be held.
Mr. Hunter left Wahpeton four years ago to take a position as head of the greenhouse and landscaping at Fergus Falls State Hospital. He was taken ill with an infection in his arm and entered Wright hospital in that city Sunday, dying of blood poisoning Wednesday evening.
Prominent in church and Masonic circles in Wahpeton, Mr. Hunter was employed at the Globe-Gazette here for many years and more recently had had much to do with the development of the Chahinkapa Park ground.
Born in Scotland, Mr. Hunter came to America as a man of 30 years of age. He never married and so far as known had no relatives in this country.
Brief services will be held at Barnard Mortuary in Fergus Falls at 1:30 o’clock, Friday afternoon after which the body will be brought to Wahpeton.
