Obituary
John Hatle
WAHPETON - John Hatle, 62, Route 1, Wahpeton, died Tuesday at his home. The funeral will be at 2 Friday in Vertin's-Wahpeton Chapel with the Rev. Reuben Mellum officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Thursday afternoon and evening and Friday until time of service at Vertin's-Wahpeton Funeral Home.
Mr. Hatle was born Sept. 11, 1909, near Lisbon in Ransom, Co., the son of Emil and Lena (Johnson) Hatle. He attended local schools and Dakota Business College in Fargo. He married Margaret Ellen Johnson Oct. 14, 1939, at Lisbon. They farmed until 1944 when the couple moved to Abercrombie where he worked as a mechanic. They lived in Moorhead and Lisbon before coming to a farm in Dwight Township near Wahpeton in 1959. He had been in ill health for many years.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Clifford, at home; two brothers and three sisters, Clarence, Merle, and Mrs. Henry (Ella) Himebough, all of Adams, Minn., Mrs. Gullick (Gladys) Boe of Muskegon, Mich., and Mrs. Eugene.
