Alfred Harvego Funeral Set for Thursday 2

Funeral services for Alfred M. Harvego 55, lifelong Wilkin County resident, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Breckenridge Lutheran Church, Rev. R. D. Mellum officiating.

Mr. Harvego died Monday at Flaxton, N. D., where he was custom combining. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Born Oct. 13, 1909, in Wilkin County, he was raised on his parents farm near Rothsay in Wilkin County. He attended school there.

On June 21, 1944, he was married to Hazel Viken and for several years they farmed north of Breckenridge. The past 16 years they lived in Breckenridge. For the past six years he had been doing custom combining with this work taking him to Oklahoma and back to North Dakota. He also continued to operate his farm near Breckenridge.

He was a member of the Wilkin County Federal Farm Home Administration, director of Farmers Credit Union, past member of Board of Deacons of Breckenridge Lutheran Church and one time member of the Akron Township Board. He also was active in community affairs

Besides his wife, he leaves four daughters, Sharon, Betty, Shirley and Barbara, all at home; one son, Robert at home; one brother, William Harvego of Breckenridge and three sisters Hazel Harvego of Wahpeton, Mrs. Norbert (Gladys) Terhurne and Mrs. Hans (Helen Madsen, both of Breckenridge.

Mr. Harvego was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Clara Harvego and one brother, Roy.

Visitation will be Thursday morning at Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge.
