Maxine Hoffert

Mrs. Kenneth (Maxine) G Hoffert, 45, Wyndmere, died Saturday. The funeral will be at 2 Wednesday in United Methodist Church, Wyndmere, Rev. Ralph Cushing officiating.

Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening in the East Chapel at Vertin's and Sons, Wahpeton and from 11 to 2 at the church Wednesday. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens.

Organist will be Mrs. Ralph Cushing, with Donald Moffet singing. Pallbearers are Victor Cink, Corwin Moffet, James Kummer, Harold Langseth, Steve Klein and Kermit Gilje.

Maxine Ista was born Feb. 7, 1928, to George Ista Sr. and Susan Townes Ista at Walcott. She attended Colfax High School and Valley City State College. She taught for a time in rural schools in Richland County and was married Sept. 18, 1948, at Zion Church, rural Walcott. They have farmed in Homestead Township since then.

Mrs. Hoffert is survived by her husband, three sons and a daughter, Robert, Wyndmere; Michael and Mark, at home and Mrs. John (Peggy) Carlson, Trandquist, Minn.; two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Ray (Betty) Kummer, Colfax; George Ista, Walcott; Richard Ista, Fargo and Mrs. Clifford (Tessabell) Simpson, Minneapolis.

She was preceded in death by her mother and a daughter, Myrtle.
