Obituary
Mrs. Ida Hooge, 65, Dies; Rites Set for 2 Friday
Mrs. Clarence (Ida) Hooge, 65, longtime Wahpeton resident, died Wednesday morning at St. Franics Hospital in Breckenridge.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. from Immanual Lutheran Church, Rev. Edward J. Rutter officiating. Interment will be in Christus Gardens, Fairview Cemetery.
A prayer service will be at 9 p.m. at Vertin’s Wahpeton tonight (Thursday) with visitation.
Mrs. Hooge was born Nov 29, 1900, at Gwinner, N.D., parents of Anders and Johanna Anderson. He was raised there and attended schools in that area.
She married Clarence W. Hooge, Oct. 23, 1918 at Forman. They moved to Wahpeton in 1922 where she has resided since, Mr. Hooge worked for the Great Northern Railway.
She was a member of the Immanual Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, LaVerne of South St. Paul, Minn., Lowell of Wahpeton; one daughter, Mrs. Dana (Opal) Lawrence of Jamestown; eight grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Axel (Hilda) Ostlund of Hines Minn., and Mrs. Levi (Anna) Oslund of Simpson, Sask., Canada.
Preceding her in death were five brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. William Enochson will be organist and the ladies choir will sing.
Vertin’s Wahpeton is in charge of arrangements.
