Obituary
Mrs. LaVerne Hooge, City, Dies After Three-Month Illness
Mrs. LaVene (Eleanor) Hooge, 30, of Wahpeton, died Sunday in St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge. She had been in failing health the past three months.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. CDT in Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Henry Fix officiating. Interment will be made in Fairview Memorial Gardens with Vertin Funeral Home of this city in charge.
Friends may call at the Vertin Funeral Home, Tuesday afternoon and evening and until noon Wednesday.
Eleanor Pederson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Pederson, was born Nov. 19, 1926 at Fergus Falls where she attended grade school and graduated from high school. She was employed by the JC. Penney Co. there and later at the offices of Dr. H. Tillisch in Wahpeton. She married Mr. Hooge at Wahpeton Sept. 18, 1946 and they lived here since except for one year at Grand Forks. She was a member of Immanual Lutheran Church of Wahpeton.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Ross 6, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Pederson of Underwood, Minn., a sister, Miss Beverly Pederson of Kankakee, Ill., and a grandfather, Knute Nelson of Erhard, Minn.
