Obituary
Mrs. Wm. Hook Rites Saturday
Funeral services were held Saturday morning for Mrs. William (Irene Ruby) Hook, 47, of Breckenridge, at Vertin’s-Wahpeton Chapel. The Rev. Royal B. Steiner, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Breckenridge, officiated and Miss Geraldine Nelson was the organist. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in the spring. Mrs. Hook died Wednesday after being hospitalized in St Francis Hospital for two days.
Irene Ruby Nelson was born in Briggs County near Walum, N.D., Oct. 23, 1921, and was married at Litchville, N.D., June 27, 1947. The couple lived in Hanford, N.D., before moving to Colfax, N.D., in 1954 where she operated a cafe. They moved to Breckenridge in 1965.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Larry, of Breckenridge; a daughterMrs. Francis (Jean) Miller of Jamestown, N.D.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Nelson, of Hannaford; two brothers and one sister, Russell and Robert Nelson, both of Hannaford; Mrs. Frederick (Betty) Dichraff of Colfax and two grandchildren.
