Borghild Isackson

Services for Mrs. Henning (Borghild) Isackson, 77, of Wahpeton will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, with Rev. Marvin L. Hartmann officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.

Mrs. Isackson died Wednesday evening at St. Francis Hospital.

Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening and Saturday until 11 a.m. at Vertin's Wahpeton Funeral Home chapel. There will be a prayer service at the chapel at 7:30 Friday evening. There will also be visitation one hour prior to services at the church.

Casket bearers will be Gary Isackson, Bruce Johnson, Robert Lee, Gregg and Rick Zarling, and Gary Halstenson.

Borghild Bakken was born July 1, 1900 at Colfax to John and Berit (Eggen) Bakken. In 1901 she moved with her family to Carpio, N.D. They returned to the Colfax area in 1911. She was raised there and attended local schools.

She married Henning Isackson Nov. 13, 1919 at Colfax. After marriage they lived in Wahpeton until 1932 when they moved to a farm near Colfax. In 1968 they retired and moved back to Wahpeton.

Survivors are her husband; a son, Archie, of Colfax; three daughters, Mrs. Reuben (June) Johnson of West Fargo, Mrs. Oscar (Pearl) Lee of Wahpeton, and Mrs. Harlan (Lois) Zarling of Torrington, Wyo.; a brother, Joseph, of Wahpeton; four sisters, Mrs. Melvin (Olga) Wasteland of Breckenridge, Mrs. Marie Sveom and Mrs. Herman (Helga) Brosowske, both Wahpeton, and Mrs. Gladys Gaspervich of West Allis, Wis.; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
