Obituary
Frank James Dies Thursday
Frank James, Sr., died Thursday at St. Francis hospital. He was born May 9, 1874 in Pennsylvania leaving home as a boy 11. He came to Kent 40 years ago, marrying Lena Baumer of Kent Dec 27, 1909. The body will be at Schmitt & Olson chapel until the time of the funeral at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Bethel Lutheran church with Rev. Gisvold officiating.
Mr. James operated a pool hall at Kent until coming to Breckenridge 15 years ago and to Wahpeton, 13 years ago. He was employed by the city for a time and later in a local blacksmith shop.
He is survived by his wife and six children; Mrs. Robert Mills, Pelican Rapids, Minn., Frank, Jr. George, Mrs. Glen Raftevold, Mrs. Olaf Raftevold, all of Wahpeton and Mrs. Lloyd Thompson of Wolverton.
Pallbearers will be Ed Lislegard, Albert Wies, Alex Stockman, Lars Raftevold, Gust Isaacson and Bert Hendrickson, the latter of Milnor. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
