Mrs. Charles Jost, Center Township Resident, Passes

Died July 4th At Breck Hospital, Rites Saturday

Mrs. Charles (Alice) Jost, 66, lifelong resident of Richland county, died Wednesday morning at the St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge. She was taken to the hospital Tuesday from her home in Center township.

Alice May Brand, daughter of John and Lena Brand, was born October 23, 1884, the youngest of four children. She grew to womanhood and attended local schools. On Feb. 18, 1015, she became the wife of Charles Jost of Wahpeton. Mr. Jost died in September, 1944.

Surviving are three sons, LeRoy, Donald and Ralph, all of Wahpeton; three daughters, Ms. D. L. (Florence) Stephens, J., of Silver Springs, Md., Mrs. Francis (Verbina) Grinder of Indian Head, Md., and Thelma at home; and four grandchildren. Her parents, two brothers and a sister preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Saturday at the Congregational church here at 2 p.m. Rev. C. H. Meier will officiate with the Vertin funeral home of Wahpeton in charge. Burial will be made in Fairview cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Elmer Ward, Richard Hollands, Walter Crawford, Harold Nunns, Otto Meyer and Henry Osen.
