Obituary
FUNERAL SERVICES YESTERDAY FOR JOHN JUNGE Wahpeton Resident Since 1883 Died Tuesday – Was Invalid for Three Years John Henry Junge died Tuesday evening about six o’clock at the home of his son Wm. Junge, 116 Pembina Ave., after a three year period of invalidism following a paralytic stroke. Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon at two o’clock at St. Peter’s Evangelical church,, 221 Second St. N., by the pastor Rev. J. F. Becker of Fergus Falls. Mr. Junge was a member of this church, and also a member of the Sons of Herman order. Burial followed in Fairview cemetery. Mr. Junge was born in Germany sixty-nine years ago last January. He came to America in 1883, and has resided in Wahpeton or nearby, since that date. He with his son engaged in the business of house moving, accepting contracts over a large territory centering at Wahpeton. Since his paralysis three years ago he has been inactive, the business being continued by his son William, with whom he resided. Mrs. Junge passed away some nine or ten years ago. There are four children surviving – Mrs. Maggie Barrett of Saskachewan, Canada; Mrs. J. E. Myers and Wm. Junge of Wahpeton; and Jon Junge, electrician residing at Fergus Falls.
