FUNERAL SERVICES ARE HELD FOR HERMAN JUNGE Pioneer of City and County Passed Away Last Saturday Following Illness of 11 Weeks
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon from the German Evangelical church for Herman Junge, who died at his home here on Saturday morning after an illness of 11 weeks. Mr. Junge is survived by his widow and three children. Mrs. Walter Williams, Gilbert and Angeline. Two nephews, William Junge of this city and John Junge of Fergus Falls also survive. A brother-in-law, Henry Lang, lives at Lidgerwood. Mr. Junge was born in Germany 62 years ago and came to this country about 35 years ago. Since coming to America he has made his home in Wahpeton and vicinity the greater part of the time. He farmed for a while near Steele, N. D.
Mr. Junge suffered a stroke of paralysis while working at the city pump house 11 weeks ago. He was taken to the Wahpeton hospital where he remained until last Thursday when he was taken to his home. He passed away at 10:30 o’clock Saturday morning. The deceased has a host of friends in Wahpeton and vicinity who join with the family in mourning his death. Mr. Junge was well known to many people of the city and his death last Saturday morning came as a shock to the many who knew him during his many years as a resident of the city.
