Funeral Today for Ms. Jurgenson

Pioneer Wahpeton Resident Passes Away Saturday after Several Weeks Illness

Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. this Monday afternoon from the J.E Carney home for Mrs. Lina Jurgenson, who died Saturday at the Wahpeton Hospital following several weeks illness. Rev. R. D. Hall, of the Congregational church, officiated.

Lina Vogl Jurgenson was born January 10, 1859 at Columbus, Wis., She was married to J.N. Jorgenson in 1877 and they came to Wahpeton in 1883, when Mr Jurgensen was engaged in the harness business.

Following Mr. Jurgensen’s death in August 1915, she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. J.E. Carney, first at Larimore and then at Wahpeton.

She is survived by one son and one daughter, Mrs. JE Carney, of this city and E. J. Jurgenson, of Bisbee, N.D.; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Vogl, of Minneapolis and Mrs. O. J. Gutach of Sheboygan, Wisc., and three brothers, Otto Vogl, of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Joseph Vogl, of Watertown, Wisc. Death came Saturday evening as the relief from a long illness. For the past several weeks she has been a patient at the Wahpeton Hospital suffering from an anemic condition. Old friends in the city will regret to learn of her passing and extend sympathy to the family.
