Obituary
Mrs. Wm. Kent Dies in California
Funeral Thursday for Former Wahpetonian
Mrs. William Kent, whose home was on a farm near Wahpeton for many years, died, early Sunday morning at San Pedro, Calif., where the family had resided the past year. Death followed a stroke suffered a few days previous.
The body will be brought to Wahpeton and funeral services will be held from the Congregational Church, of which Mrs. Kent was a member, probably being held Thursday afternoon although this will depend on word received from various relatives.
The Kents farmed in Richland county for over 30 years, retiring a year ago last fall and moving to the western state. Surviving are seven children, one daughter having died ten years ago. Left to mourn are Mrs. Wm. Peasue of Oakland, Calif., Mrs. E. J. Stitz, Chicago; Mrs. Chester Lister, San Pedro; Everett, Kaukauna, Wis.; Clarence, Downers Grove, Ill.; Irvin and Alvin Kent, of this City.
Kent Funeral Rites Saturday
Funeral services for Mrs. William Kent, who died in San Pedro, Calif., will be held Saturday afternoon in the Congregational church at two o’clock with Rev. Ross B. Hartman officiating. Burial will be made in the Fairview cemetery.
The body will arrive in Wahpeton Thursday and will lie in state in the Schmitt and Olson funeral home until 11 o’clock Saturday when it will be taken to the church and again rest in state until time of that service.
Pallbearers are John Koenig, Joseph Flannery, W. Oliver, Perry Talbert, H.H. Rustad and Joseph Napravnik.
