Obituary
Kiebke Funeral To Be Held Thursday At Emanuel Church
Citizen of Richland County For Many Years To Be Buried Here
Funeral services for John Kiebke, who passed away at the St. Francis hospital in Breckenridge Monday morning will be held this (Thursday) afternoon from the Schmitt & Olson funeral home at 1:30 o'clock and from the Emanuel church at two o'clock. Rev. R. J. Becker will officiate. Burial will be made in the Fairview cemetery.
John Kemble was born July 2, 1868 in Freidental, Germany and came to America in the year of 1909. He grew to manhood in the land of his birth and on October 26th, 1892, was married to Mary Schultz in Gnadua, Germany.
With is wife he came to America and settled in Lakin, Wis. where they lived for a year. From there they moved to Wetskiwin, Alberta, Canada, where they operated a farm for eight years.
Retiring from farming activities the family moved to Breckenridge where Mr. Kiebke continued his trade as a shoe repair man, opening a shop in Breckenridge. He has operated similar shops in Wyndmere and Abercrombie.
During the past month, Mr. Keibke's health has been failing and he has made his home with his son, Jake Kiebke, in this city. Mrs. Kiebke passed away in October, 1927.
Six sons and a daughter survive. They are: John at Wetskiwin, Can.; Jake, here; Mrs. Mary Hanson at Lakin, Kan.; Fritz, at Barnesville; Henry L., Martin and Theodor at Wahpeton.
Pallbearers will be G. I. Raguse, Louis Matz, Gust Czichotski, Herman Rieke and Dick Deede.
