Obituary
Evenda Kirkham-1918
Mrs. Evanda Kirkham, wife of Frank Kirkham of Fortuna, N. D., died in Wahpeton last Sunday of influenza. Mrs. Kirkham was the daughter of Henry Wagner of Wahpeton. The latter was taken ill, and his daughter came down to care for him. She arrived in Wahpeton Monday of last week, came down sick on Thursday and died three days later. Her husband, it will be remembered, was the victim in an accident in the Great Northern yards at Breckenridge some four or five years ago, losing a leg as the result of the accident. Shortly afterward they moved to Fortuna, where they purchased a farm.
Deceased was thirty years of age and was born in Illinois. Beside her father she is survived by a sister at Missoula, Mont., and a brother and sister at Crosby, N. D., and a brother at Wahpeton, who are expected here for the funeral, which will be at Riverside cemetery, Rev. Maunder of the M. E. church to conduct the service. If the relatives arrive in time the service will be held this afternoon.
