GETS SAD MESSAGE
Mr. Klepper is Notified by Wire of His Son’s Death
A very sad occurrence last Friday was the death of little Donald, infant son of Prof. and Mrs. H. G. Klepper, after an illness of about 24 hours. At first his symptoms resembled those of measles; later the attending physician thought possibly the attack was one of croup. The little fellow had convulsions several times Friday, and expired in his mother’s arms Friday evening while the physician was gone to the drug stone to get some medicine for him. His death came so quietly that his mother did not notice it until her attention was called to it by Prof. Hagen and his sister, who were with her in the room at the room. The physician, returning, found that the child’s circulation had not entirely ceased, and for two hours they labored unavailingly to restore the spark of life. Mr. Klepper was in the northern part of Wilkin County, Minn, at the time. He was notified by wire, and came home by way of Fergus Falls, reaching Wahpeton Friday evening. Funeral services were conducted at the residence by Rev. T. M. Edmands at 3 o’clock Monday afternoon. The whole community sympathizes with Mr. and Mrs. Klepper in this sudden and great affliction.
