Obituary

Mrs. R. Koontz Dies Tuesday In Washington

Mrs. Russ Koontz, the former Connie Ness of this vicinity and at one time Mrs. Albert Weiss, died at Bremerton, Wash., Tuesday afternoon according to word received by local relatives.

She had been in failing health the past year and a half and was a patient in a rest home.

Funeral services will be held in the west and the ashes will be brought to Wahpeton where committal rites will be held, this spring.

Connie Ness was born May 6, 1889, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christ Ness, at their farm on the Wild Rice. She was one of 12 children, of whom six survive. She was confirmed in Dwight Lutheran church.

Surviving are three brothers, Sigard of Port Orchard, Wash., Rudolph Ness of Eugene, Ore., Conrad Ness, Turtle, Wash., and three sisters, Mrs. Marie McKay, of Sheiton, Wash., Louise Sanders, Bremerton, Wash., and Mrs. Emil Haas, Vera, of Turtle Lake, N.D. Mrs. John Ness and Mrs. Howard Morris of this city are sisters-in-law.

Mrs. Koontz was a member of Wahpeton Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
