Obituary
Mrs. Woodrow Keeble Dies Here Tuesday at Age 44
Mrs. Woodrow W. (Nettie) Keeble, 44, Wahpeton, whose husband was a much decorated soldier in two wars, died Tuesday in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 am. Saturday in Trinity Episcopal Church in Wahpeton.
Rev. Harold Jones will officiate at the services. Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Vertin’s-Wahpeton Funeral Home, Friday afternoon and evening and Saturday until the time of services.
An employee of the Wahpeton Indian School for 1 years, Mrs. Keeble retired last June due to ill health. Her husband, who survives has been confined in recent years by illness and physical disability.
Born March 30, 1917, at Aberdeen, S. D., Mrs. Keeble moved to Wahpeton with her parents when 10 from Waubay, S. D. She attended the Indian School for a time and after high school went to nursing school in Minneapolis. She was married Nov. 14, 1947, and they both had long been employed at the Indian School. She also spent a year at a Pipestone, Minn., Indian school.
Also surviving are her mother Mrs. Ella Farmer Wahpeton and a son Earl at home. Mrs. Keeble was a member of the DAV, VFW and American Legion auxiliaries and the Trinity Guild.
Serving as pallbearers will be Milt Sletten, Elroy Wegener, Harold Diederich, Clarence Achter Patrick Milloy and Theodore Hein. Honorary pallbearers are Solon Hill, Robert Horne, J. W. Wellington, Arnold Pankow, James Dietz and Ralph Erdrich.
