Chester N. Keeney

Services for Chester N. Keeney, 66, of Wahpeton, will be Wednesday, 2 p.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton. Rev. Edward J. Rutter will officiate.

Mr. Keeney died Sunday evening at St. Francis Hospital. He will be buried in Fairview Memorial Garden, Wahpeton.

Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening, Wednesday till 11 a.m. at Vertin's Wahpeton Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Keeney was born May 6, 1910, in Wahpeton, to Minner and Marie (Iverson) Keeney.

He attended Wahpeton schools and was later employed by Great Northern railroad in Breckenridge, Fargo and Spokane, Wash.

He married Mabel Miller May 9, 1938.

Mr. Keeney was a member of the Wahpeton Eagles and the Wahpeton National Guard, Company I.

Surviving are four sons, Duane of Coon Rapids, Minn., Dale of Omaha, Neb., David of Burlington, N.D., and Daryl of Mountain Home, Idaho; two brothers, Ira of Wahpeton and Silas of Helena, Ark.; three sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Inex) DeVries of Wahpeton; Mrs. Lloyd (Elsie) Keech of Wahpeton, and Mrs. Emma Jacklin of Apache Junction, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Casket bearers will be members of the Wahpeton Eagles.
