Daniel Klein
WYOMING, Minn. - Daniel Klein, 58, Wyoming, Minn., formerly of Breckenridge, died Wednesday at Minneapolis. The funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home, the Rev. Julian Erickson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton. The American flag will be presented by the American Legion Post No. 53, Breckenridge.
Visitation is this afternoon and evening (Friday) with an 8 p.m. prayer service, and Saturday until the time of service at the funeral home.
He was born May 29, 1921 at Breckenridge, the son on Henry and Mary Klein. He attended country schools and married Fern Burgeson May 14, 1946 at Barnesville. They farmed north of Breckenridge until 1958. He attended the Science School during 1962-63. They moved to St. Paul, Minn. in 1964 where he worked for the state of Minnesota. In 1975, they retired and have since resided in Wyoming, a suburb of St. Paul.
He is survived by his mother, who resides in Breckenridge; his wife, two sons, Keith, Coon Rapids, Minn.; Larry, St. Paul; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Sandy) Mertes, Baker, Minn.; and Tammy, at home; four brothers, Henry, Fritz, and Ronald, all of Breckenridge, and Reuben, Pelican Rapids, Minn.; four sisters, Mrs. S.J. (Pauline) Matheson, Mrs. C.J. (Rose) Wolters and Mrs. Hector (Leona) Hanson, all of Breckenridge, and Mrs. Molly Byland, Moorhead, Minn., and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and one granddaughter.
