Obituary
Funeral Services Held for Mrs. Peter Knoppy, Barney
Funeral Services for Mrs. Peter (Maryetta) Knoppy, 64, Barney, were held Saturday in the Mooreton Lutheran church with Rev. H. E. Rasmussen Jr. officiating. Mrs. Knoppy died at her home Wednesday.
Interment was in Fairview Memorial Gardens at Wahpeton.
Mrs. Knoppy was born at Hector, Minn., Oct. 10, 1896. She lived in Minneapolis until age 18 when she moved to California with her parents. She married Peter Knoppy in California July 5, 1944.
Following Mr. Knoppy’s discharge from the U. S. Army in 1945, they moved to their farm in Antelope Township.
Surviving besides her husband are a son, Robert Wessel, Los Angeles, and two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Barbara) White of Breckenridge and Mrs. Phillip (Delores) Bjornseth of Grand Forks, N. D. Also surviving are three grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Blotter of Wahpeton.
Serving as pallbearers were Robert Stone Colin McDougall, George Menne Henry Harring, Herman Breuer and Edwin Hanson. Mrs. Albert Eckhardt was the soloist and Mrs. Ernest Huss was the organist. Vertin’s-Wahpeton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
