Stella Krause
Mrs. Arthur W. (Stella) Krause, 84, Wahpeton, died Wednesday, Oct. 7 at her home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 12 at the United Church of Christ (Congregational) at Wahpeton, Rev. Stephen Hanning is officiating.
Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon and evening at Vertin's Wahpeton Chapel and at the church prior to the services. There will be no prayer service.
Stella Wetherbee was born Dec. 21, 1896 at Fairmount, N.D. Her father was Elmer and her mother was Leila Mills Wetherbee. She was raised in Fairmount where she graduated from high school.
She attended Valley City State University and taught schools in North Dakota including Dwight.
She married Arthur W. Krause Dec. 21, 1917 at Wahpeton. She had been a resident at Wahpeton since then.
Her husband died Feb. 20, 1976.
She was an active member of the United Church of Christ and American Legion Auxiliary where she served as president of the local unit and president of the 10th District for two years.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Worner, Fergus Falls; one son, Charles Krause, Northridge, Calif.; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Eunice Parks, Vancouver, Wash.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and one sister.

The Garden of the Christus is located in the Memorial Gardens, which comprises the northern half of the cemetery.
