Funeral Services Held Today For Mrs. R. A. Kressin, 60

Mrs. Rudolf A. (Regina) Kressin, 60, Barney died Thursday in a local hospital. Funeral services were held today (Monday) in St. Anthony’s Catholic church at Mooreton with Rev Francis Slominski officiating.

Interment was in Fairview Memorial Gardens at Wahpeton.

Regina Pelzl Kressin was born at Heron Lake, Minn., March 11, 1901. In 1906, she came with her parents to the Barney area where she attended local schools.

She married Rudolf Kressin at Wahpeton Oct 3, 1923. The couple lived in the Barney area since the time of their marriage. Mrs. Kressin was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic church at Mooreton and the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Auxiliary at Barney.

Surviving besides her husband are a son, Orlin, of Wyndmere, and three grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Frank Pelzl of Barney Herman Pelzl of Minneapolis and Ray Pelzl of Rochert, Minn., and three sisters, Mrs. Frank (Martha) Rink of Barney, Mrs. John (Mary) Stenze, of Rochert and Mrs. Carl (Metta) Farup of Barney.

She was preceded in death by her parents three brothers and a sister. Serving as pallbearers were A. H. Berg, Pay Puetz, John Heitkamp Jr., Russel Janssen, Blake Tisdal and James Haberman.

The new Vertin’s-Wahpeton Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.

The Garden of the Christus is located in the Memorial Gardens, which comprises the northern half of the cemetery.
