Leo Kressin Funeral Set For Friday Afternoon Here
Leo W. Kressin, 61, pioneer Richland County resident and longtime real estate agent here, died Monday at St Francis Hospital in Breckenridge.
Rev. Edward J. Rutter will officiate at funeral services Friday at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church here. Interment will be in Christus Gardens, Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Kressin was born at Barney, N.D., Oct. 4, 1904. He married Myrtle Peterson on Oct 15, 1929 at Barney. The couple had farmed there and operated a grocery business before moving to Wahpeton in 1943.
He had been in real estate and held large holdings of rental property in Wahpeton. He had been active in Wahpeton Rotary.
He leaves his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Eileen Hagge in Germany; Mrs. Wallace (Vondell) Raftevold, Wahpeton; and three grandchildren.
There are also nine brothers and sisters, Mrs. Walter (Rose) Kruse and Mrs. Fred (Martha) Jentz, both of Fenton, Iowa; Rudolph and Edwin, both Barney; Arnold West Fargo; Arthur and William, both in Chicago; Mrs. Gustav (Famie) Bohn, Grey Eagle, Minn.; and Mrs. Viola Persinger, Kennewick, Wash.
Serving as pallbearers will be Martin Peterka, John Pauly, Orville Muehlberg, Alexis Anderson, Joseph Kuruc, and Olaf Hestdalen.
Mrs. William Enochson will be organist and the Immanuel Ladies Choir will sing.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
