Lawrence Krohn Dies Wednesday

Lawrence F. Krohn, 58, a former Breckenridge businessman, died Wednesday at his lake cottage on Ottertail Lake.

Funeral services will be at 2 Saturday from Bethel Lutheran Church, Rev. Marvin L. Hartmann officiating. Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening at Vertin’s Wahpeton Chapel.

Mr. Krohn was born April 10, 1908 in Nicollet, Minn., the son of William and Ida Krohn. He was raised and attended schools in Nicollet area. He was married Sept. 5, 11930 at New Ulm, Minn., to Arvilla Steindorf. He had operated dairy businesses for 30 days.

He owned B & W Dairy for several years before selling it a few years ago. He then moved to Aberdeen, S. D., where he owned a motel. He retired and returned to Wahpeton about a year ago.

Surviving are his wife, Arvilla; two daughters, Mrs. Loren (Karol) Pavek, Wahpeton and Mrs. Lloyd (Marcie) Olson, Minneapolis; one son, Larry, a senior in Wahpeton high school; and one granddaughter. There also are two sisters, Mrs. George (Ellen) Gieske, St. Peter, Minn., and Mrs. Alvina Krahn, Kankakee, Ill.

He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, a charter member of the Wahpeton Elks Lodge and Minnesota Milk Council.

He was preceded in death by parents, one infant son, four brothers and two sisters.
