Obituary
Liewellyn Kube
Services for Liewellyn William Kube, 87, of Wahpeton and Richland County will be at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Wahpeton at a time to be set.
Mr. Kube died Sunday at St. Francis Hospital, Breckenridge.
Liewellyn William Kube was born in Clinton Co., Iowa Jan. 27, 1889. He graduated from Iowa State University at Ames, Iowa, was a World War I veteran and was associated for some years with the Union Stockyards Co. at South St. Paul, Minn.
Later he transferred to North Dakota where he served as Vice President and General Manager of the West Fargo Union Stockyards. When he retired he moved with his family to Richland County where he lived in Wahpeton and on his farm in Mooreton Township.
Survivors are his wife, Allene; two daughters Lou Ann Scherer of Hopkins, Minn., and Eugenia Smouse of Paris, France; a son, John who is living on the farm; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and one daughter, Mary Elizabeth.
