Obituary
Funeral for Mrs. Larson on Wednesday Funeral services for Mrs. John Larson, who is the former Mrs. T. A. Fisher of this city, will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock, DST, at Schmitt & Poulton Funeral Home. Mrs. Larson died Sunday at Fergus Falls, where she had resided following her second marriage. Priscilla Haley was born at Iroquois, Ontario, in 1882, daughter of the late Alexander and Armenia Haley. She grew to womanhood there and was married to Thomas A. (Paddy) Fisher, in December, 1900 at Irena, Ontario. From 1900 to 1913 they lived in Lidgerwood. In 1913 they came to Wahpeton where Fisher was custodian of the New Richland County Courthouse. They lived here until his retirement in 1934 when they moved to a farm near Battle Lake. Thos. Fisher died Sept 4, 1942, and Mrs. Fisher married George Larson in 1947 at Fergus Falls and continued to reside there. Larson died in 1959 and she continued to reside in Fergus Falls.
She had been in failing health the past five years, death occurring Sunday afternoon.
She is survived by five sons and a daughter; Lloyd A. Fisher of St. Paul; Edward, of Minot; George, of Cheney Wash., Larry, of Portland Ore., and James of New York; Mrs. Keith Nielsen (Mervine) of Yosemite, Calif. There are ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Funeral home Tuesday afternoon and until the hour of service Wednesday.
Rev. Harold Jones will officiate at the funeral service and interment will be in Fairview cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Al Bader, Carl Gauslow, John Peschel, George Fisher, Jos. Stern and Eldon Lum.
