Obituary
H. Leshovsky Rites Monday in Wahpeton
Henry J. Leshovsky, 72, died at St John’s hospital, Fargo, Thursday after a week at the hospital. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from Schmitt & Poulton Funeral home in this city with Rev Frank Hirons officiating. Interment was in Fairview cemetery.
Henry Leshovsky was born May 12, 1884 in Summit township south of town. He attended local schools and entered the carpenter trade which he followed until 1906, when he started farming.
He married Nancy Horsman Dec. 5, 1906 at Wahpeton. They farmed in Fairmount township until 1911, then moving to the present farm in Summit where they lived until retirement in 1947.
He is survived by his wife and four sons; Alvin, of Doran, Louis E., Wahpeton; Robert Walcott; Ervin Seattle Wash., and four daughters: Mrs Garnett (Eva) Romerein, Wahpeton; Mrs. Gordon (Doris Thimjon, Breckenridge; Mrs. Walter (Edith) Thimjon, Foxhome and Mrs. Leo (Elsie) Pauly Inglewood, Calif.
There are four brothers Frank, Chinook, Mont., Alfred of Breckenridge, Arthur of Wahpeton, Chester of Minneapolis and five sisters: Mrs. John Powrie, Wahpeton, Mrs. Otelia Zillgitt, Inglewood, Calif., Mrs. Frank Aiman, Wabasha, Wis., Mrs. Phillip Heley, Minneapolis, Mrs. John Dill, Mound, Minn. There are 15 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Frank Rehm, Earl Robinson, Ed Achter, George VanCleave, Orin Miller, Clayton Hasty.
