Obituary
F. Lindstrom Dies Suddenly At Lake Home
Frank Lindstrom, 62, well known retied Wahpeton railroad conductor, died suddenly Saturday evening at 9:30 at his lake home on Otter Tail Lake in Amor township, Ottertail county, Minnesota. He and Mrs. Lindstrom had returned to the lake on May 4 from the west where they had spent the winter. For many years the Lindstrom family had lived on North Eighth Street in Wahpeton but after his retirement, they had spent winters in California and Washington and summers at the lake.
Services will be conducted Thursday at two o’clock from the Congregational Church here in Wahpeton, with Rev. Frank T. Hiron in charge and Vertin’s Wahpeton making arrangements. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery here. Mr. Lindstrom had retired from the position as conductor with the Great Northern Railway several years ago because of ill health, and he and Mrs. Lindstrom were at the lake when he suffered a heart attack.
Frank T. Lindstrom was born, April 1 1892 at Marine, (on the St. Croix) Minn. He attended school at Lakeland, Ill., going to Gustavus Adolphus College at St. Peter, Minn.
Later he worked for a lumber company as manager at Milbank, S.D., Marvin, S.D., and at Kindred, N.D. The family came to Breckenridge where he entered the employment of the railroad in 1918. They made their home here until 1947 when he retired. They sold their home here and had spent their winters west.
Surviving besides Mrs. Lindstrom are three daughters: Conette, Mrs. Milton Condit, Seattle, Wash.; Norine Lindstrom, Indianapolis, Ind.; and Nanette of Tacoma, Wash. Two sons, George lives at Carlisle, Minn.; and C. F. Lindstrom lives at Billings, Mont. A brother, Oscar lives at Lakeland, Minn. Four grandchildren also survive.
