Obituary

John P. Lindstrom Buried Monday From Bethel

Came to Dwight In 1922 From South Of Breckenridge

John P. Lindstrom passed on at his home in Dwight township on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. He had been in poor health since last March 30th.

Mr. Lindstrom was born in Sweden November 7, 1870 and migrated to this country when 22 years of age he came to Mora, Minn., to make his home. He lived in Mora until the spring of 1914, at which time he moved to Jenkins, Minn., he lived there until the fall of 1918 when he moved on a farm just south of Breckenridge and he lived there until 1922 when, he moved to his present homestead in Dwight township.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, Martha, two daughter, Mrs. E. R. Anderson of Brainerd, Minn., and Mrs. H.L. Swanson of Pittstown, New Jersey, one son, Fred, of Bemidji, Minn., also a son, George who preceded him in death. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. A.P. Nelson and Mrs. John Sigstad, three brothers, Peter, Axil an Nels all of Mora, Minn.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Harold Ness of Wahpeton and Mrs. Julius Hudson of Lisbon, two step sons, Adolph Grinager of Brainerd and Harry Grinager of Wahpeton. There are also six grandchildren and one great grand daughter. A brother, Oscar and a step-son, Ove Grinager preceded him in death.

Services were held from the home at 1:00 o’clock Monday and from the Bethel Lutheran church at two o’clock. Burial was in Fairview cemetery here in Wahpeton, Rev. E. H. Haughland officiating. Mr. Lindstrom la in state at the Vertin Funeral Home from Thursday until the funeral Monday. Pallbearers were: Olaf Tew, Chester Marquette, Theodore Erickson, Jess Babbitt, August Schmeichel and Henry Baebler.
