Obituary

Mrs. J. Lindstrom Dies Wednesday

Mrs. John Lindstrom, 76 years old and resident of Richland county for more than 30 years died Wednesday afternoon at the St. Mary hospital following a lingering illness. She had been a patient there since July 31.

Martha Augedahl was born March 11, 1874 in Norway the daughter of Andrew and Mrs. Augedahl. When 10 years old she came with her parents to Spring Grove, Minn. She grew up in that vicinity, attended local schools and was confirmed in the Lutheran church there.

She was married to Nekkoli Grinager and they farmed near Jenkins, Minn., for a number of years. In 1918 she was married to John P. Lindstrom and they settled in Dwight township where they farmed. Mr. Lindstrom died in 1941. She has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Harold Ness since.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Julius (Manda) Hudson and Mrs. Harold (Thelma) Ness of Wahpeton. Two stepdaughters, Mrs. E. R. (Anna) Anderson of Brainerd, Minn; and Mrs. H. T. (Betty) Swanson of Andover, N.J., two sons, Harry Grinager of Wahpeton and Adolph of Oregon; one stepson, Fred Lindstrom of Bemidji, Minn.; 30 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Three children preceded her in death. Also surviving are on sister; Mrs. Gust Seiness of Mable Minn., and one brother, Adolph Augedahl, Waukon, Ia.

Funeral services here have been set for Saturday from the Wild Rice Lutheran church at Dwight with Rev. T. T. Evenson officiating. Interment will be made in the Fairview cemetery in Wahpeton. Vertin Funeral Home of Wahpeton is in charge of the arrangements.
