Bernice Loberg
The funeral for Mrs. John (Bernice) Loberg, 80, Breckenridge, will be Thursday at 2 from Vertin's-Wahpeton Chapel with Rev. Forest Strnad officiating. She died Monday at the Wahpeton Rehabilitation Center. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery, Wahepton.
Bernice Severson was born July 24, 1897 at Dell Rapids, S.D., the daughter of Knute and Martha (Johnson) Severson. She was raised in South Dakota before moving to Doran, Minn., with her family.
She married John J. Loberg Sept. 16, 1914 at Breckenridge where they lived, later moving to Wahpeton. Her husband operated furniture stores in Breckenridge and Wahpeton. Her husband died July 24, 1956 and she moved back to Breckenridge where she was employed at St. Francis Hospital. She later retired and continued to live there until moving to the Wahpeton Rehabilitation Center in 1968.
Visitation began Wednesday afternoon and continues this evening and Thursday until the time of service at Vertin's Wahpeton West Chapel.
Surviving are three sons and three daughters, Durwin, Tacoma, Wash.; Warren, Grand Forks, N.D.; and John Jr., Marshall, Minn,; Mrs. Al (Virginia) Benson, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Colleen Cate, San Lorenzo, Calif.; and Mrs. Vincent (Janet) Catalano, Lombard, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Cora Allen, Park Rapids, Minn.
She is preceded by her husband and two sons.
